Early Intervention & Prevention

We want to intervene early and prevent our children, young people, families and communities suffering from the harm caused by child exploitation, grooming and abuse.

We do this by working in partnership with Police and Children Services to deliver awareness workshops, provide support, advice, information and also signpost to relevant agencies. This would ensure that children, young people and families are aware of risks and vulnerabilities.

Family Matters Programme - families and communities coming together against exploitation. Working with families, children and young people to Educate, Empower and Protect them from the harm caused by child sexual exploitation (CSE), grooming and county lines.

Rekindle-UK offers a specialist Family Matters programme to empower parents and carers to strengthen their relationship with their child. The programme advocates for positive parenting strategies; understanding of teenage development; understanding of CSE; grooming and county lines; and how parents can help to prevent and disrupt exploitation.

The Family Matters Programme supports parents to shift from a position of ‘fix my child’ to reflect on their relationship with their child and their role in safeguarding their children. The programme supports parents to identify strengths and how they can best use their relationship with their child to improve the situation.

The Family Matters Programme is delivered in a group setting. Where a group setting is not appropriate, the programme sessions can be delivered on a 1:1 basis. The facilitators can deliver the course in English, Punjabi and Pashto.
